Limitations of Cat6 28AWG Patch cords
Nothing is perfect in this life and 28AWG Cat6 patch cords are no exception. Standard 24AWG Cat6 patch cords have a larger OD and thus have less insertion loss that the 28AWG patch cords. Due to this 28AWG patch cords require a de-rating factor of 1.9 as opposed to 24AWG patch cables de-rating factor of 1.2. Horizontal cable has a de-rating factor of 1.

(de-rating of patch * patch length) + (De-rating of horizontal * Horizontal Length) <102m
At this time Unirise does not recommend running 28AWG patch cords longer than 30ft
